A legacy that leads
David Newham Property Management was founded by David Newham in 1973 in Bellville, Western Cape. His family originally came from County Cork, Ireland, and David grew up with a strong entrepreneurial spirit – starting out selling fruits and vegetables before becoming a respected businessman, property developer and property owner in the Western Cape.

David Newham Property Management was founded by David Newham in 1973 in Bellville, Western Cape. David was born in County Cork, Ireland. His family immigrated to South Africa in the 1950’s due to a recession in Ireland, leaving many unemployed and without prospects. Arriving in South Africa, life was not necessarily as rosy the family had imagined, necessitating a strong entrepreneurial spirit to survive.
David started selling fruits and vegetables to keep the family afloat. His keen eye for opportunity positioned him well in the booming industrial property market in South Africa in the 1960’s and before long, he had become known as a maverick property developer and property owner in the Western Cape.
He was the proud father of five daughters. After his death in 2010, the company was briefly owned by external investors, and it was eventually reacquired by David’s youngest daughter in 2013. The family remain committedly invested in the wellbeing and legacy that DNPM leaves, by keeping up with industry trends and ensuring the recruitment of the next generation of brilliant young minds, allowing DNPM to serve their customers with world-class, creative solutions and service.

Prior to this, Naudé led the Property Shop at Old Mutual Finance (Pty) Ltd for 15 years, overseeing occupier services for a vast portfolio of retail branches, ATMs, and administrative offices nationwide for Old Mutual. His career also includes roles as Property Manager at Pepkor Holdings Limited and Rennie Property Management. Naudé began his professional journey as attorney at VanderSpuy Attorneys in Cape Town in 1998, progressing from Candidate Attorney to Director, specializing in litigation and commercial law.
